HOW WE WORK
Carol is a woman who is visually impaired and based in Kenya. Introduced through our partnership with Judy Kihumba and THLEP, BMCF sponsors tutorship for Carol to finish her secondary education and take the national exams. Global Missions
Our work begins by identifying the needs of women who are often underrepresented, marginalized, and unheard in our communities. Through our communal resources and partnerships, we aim to resolve those needs and begin a cycle of healing and bettering lives and communities. With partners at both local and international levels, we provide financial and spiritual support and resources for women to discover and enhance their individual gifts, talents, and skills.
International Mission – We are partnered with the organization Talking Hands Helping Eyes (THLEP) in Nairobi, Kenya, to support hard-of-hearing mothers facing hardships such as HIV-Aids diagnosis or Postpartum Depression (PPD). We offer support through financial sponsorships to support acquiring skill sets for income generation and self-sustenance.
Local Missions
In Tulsa, Oklahoma, our missions include offering respite care to mothers with children with various disabilities and community organizing for awareness and fundraising events to support various disabilities, including Neurodivergent Disorders, physical impairment, and mental health conditions. To do so, we engage our support groups and network formed by local community members who have gone through similar challenges, who share experiences and understanding of how to cope, and who have knowledge of resources to aid others.

Testimonials
Meet Our Partner
We truly value our partnership with Talking Hands, Listening Eyes (THLEP) on Post-Partum Depression, founded by Judy Kihumba. In collaboration with Beulah Mission Foundation Center (BMCF), Judy serves as our liaison for missions in Kenya. THLEP, established in 2020, is driven by a profound commitment to addressing the mental health challenges faced by Deaf women, particularly nursing mothers, amidst the complexities of the COVID-19 era. Research indicates that 19-25% of women in low and middle-income countries, and 7-15% in high-income countries, encounter mental health issues during pregnancy and postpartum. THLEP passionately tackles this issue, striving to break the silence and provide support on a broader scale. With a focus on improving a sense of belonging, embracing individual gifts and abilities, THLEP has already positively impacted the lives of more than 30 women. As a BMCF partner, THLEP contributes to identifying local missions and individuals in need of support. Follow our collaborative journey on social media platforms – Facebook and YouTube @THLEP, on Instagram as THLEP.Org, or reach out to us via email at thlep.org20@gmail.com. Join us in transforming lives and advocating for the mental health of women, ensuring their voices are heard and needs addressed.
